Runnerstation Western-1 is still under construction like Ithaca Hold to which it is closely tied. Unlike the Hold, however, the Station has been built in an old quarry, so it has rooms that are cave-like, as well as normally constructed rooms. There are two stories, the lower one containing the communal baths, kitchen and dining hall, as well as the classroom used for harper lessons and small celebrations. When entering through the main doors to the right is a lounge with some comfortable couches where road-weary Runners can rest for a moment before moving further into the building to be pampered by their kin. To the left is the reception table where the Runners leave their messages, and it is manned around the clock. The Station lies about half an hour's walk from the Hold proper, but for a Runner, it's just a matter of minutes to run to and fro. Establishing proper Runner Tracks on the springy moss cover of the Western Continent is an ongoing process currently, but then hard work is what mis-behaving apprentices are for after all.
