Description: Yurinya is about 5'6" tall, and has a very thin and lanky build with just the right curves to identify her gender. She exhibits an almost feline grace that can be attributed to her work with runners and turns as a dragonrider. She has a Thread score that runs from her left temple in a jagged line to her left jaw, and down along the curve of her neck over her left shoulder down almost the length of her arm. Most people would try to cover up the "disfigurement", but to Yurinya it doesn't matter. She feels the scars are a badge of sorts; they remind her of her purpose as a dragonrider while at the same time of her mortality and that mistakes in her line of work can have dire consequences. She has dull green eyes that are almost a shade of gray. She has a rather pale complexion that never seems to hold any type of a tan.

Personality: Yurinya has a very open personality. She has no problem speaking what's on her mind at any given time. Her outlook is if someone doesn't want to know what she's thinking, they shouldn't ask. She has a short temper at times with anyone or anything who tries her patience, and there have been various occasions when her temper has gotten her into some interesting situations. Sometimes, it is difficult for her to establish friendships as she prefers to keep to herself. However, once she gets close to someone, she will stand by them and defend them with a fierce tenacity if need be because she views her close friends as family. She has a restless tendency and at times finds that she can't just sit still, she has to be doing something.

Background: Yurinya was born to a Journeywoman Farmer and a Journeyman Herder. She spent her childhood growing up near the Beastcraft Hall on the northern continent. At the young age of 12, she entered into apprenticeship at the Beascraft Hall, much to the delight of her father and dismay of her mother. Over the next few turns, she discovered she had an affinity with runners. She "understood" the beasts and she became quite skilled at handling and working with them.

When she was 15, the gold dragon of the current Weyrwoman at Igen Weyr clutched, and among the mottled eggs was a golden egg. Search was extended far and wide across the northern continent to find suitable candidates for the queen egg. It was then that Yurinya was Searched; a blue dragon had decided she would make a good lifemate for the unshelled gold. The day of the hatching, as hopeful young women circled the golden egg and the other eggs of the clutch hatched, Yurinya had the sense that she shouldn't be there. For some reason, she backed away from the golden egg and promptly stumbled over something. When she gained her footing, she looked down into the shimmering eyes of a little green dragonet and Impression was made.

Yurinya's journey through Weyrlinghood and into adulthood was rather uneventful. She found her place at Igen and felt she fit in nicely there. But there was always something restless about her. Some sense that she just wasn't in the right place. She continued to move through the next turns searching, never quite content or secure. She developed a relationship that ended badly, was seriously injured in a windy threadfall and suffered the death of her father.

When word reached Igen of a new Weyr opening on the Western Continent, she was one of the first to approach her Wingleader to inquire about a transfer. After a short amount of time, she and Mylinth were transferring to Ithaca Weyr. It was a new place, somewhere she thought she might actually find what she was looking for. If only she knew what it was.

Description: Mylinth is a large sized green: approximately 25 meters in length. She is narrow and sleek and her body is lithe and rippling with muscle. Her color is a very deep emerald green. She has the look of a physically fit and well cared for dragon, and takes pride in her appearance.

Personality: Mylinth is a dragon that always seems to be engrossed in deep thought. When someone thinks that she is indifferent towards them, what she is actually doing is studying them. She is not very outgoing, but she will sun herself and display her charms to the male dragons along with the best of them. She has a calm demeanor and when her rider is in one of her restless states she is able to put her at ease.
