Name: Lioran NPC/Free Age: 21 Gender: female Rank/Craft: Journeywoman Dragonhealer Residence: Ithaca Weyr Description: Lioran has inherited her father's willowy build, but not his height, so she stands only at 5'4". Taking after her mother more than her father in looks, Lioran has chestnut-brown hair that she keeps in a tight braid when at work, but lets hang free otherwise. Personality: 'Dragon-loving, born as hatched' suits Lioran just as well as it does any dragonman, because although she lacks the intense bond that the riders share with their dragons, she has an almost uncanny skill of reading draconic bodylanguage and figuring out just what is the matter with the magnificent beasts. Lioran's mother is a bit worried about her daughter, because Lioran has shown no intentions of getting a love-interest, dedicating all her time to her Craft, instead. Background: Starting her life as a fourth-generation Weyrbrat gave Lioran all the excitement she could wish during childhood -- excitement which was only enhanced by her habit of sneaking out after her father, Hiortal, to see the sick or injured dragons under the healers' care. Lioran became an apprentice dragonhealer in an organic fashion rather than having to apply for it, but to her intense disappointment she was sent to study in another Weyr, away from her family. She understood the reason behind this later on, when it occurred to her that no matter how diligent a teacher and healer her father was, he would still have been hard-pressed not to show any favouritism towards her. Currently Lioran is working as hard as possible in becoming ever better in her Craft, to prevent any wagging tongues from blaming her father of nepotism in choosing her to join him on the dragonhealer staff at Ithaca Weyr. |
